Q: How did you get into electric guitar?
A:
I saw the movie "Crossroads" when I was 17, and said, "I have to play like that guy."

Q: Any reason why you play a Gibson?
A:
I just like the sound of it.

Q: Who are your favourite guitar players?
A:
Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, Junior Brown, Danny Gatton, Roy Buchanan and Albert Lee.

Q: When you’re coming up with new material, which comes first, music or lyrics?
A:
The music always comes first...the lyrics pop into my head spur of the moment to fit the music.

Q: Do you practise much?
A:
I play 4 hours a day.

Q: What strings do you use for which style of play?
A:
I use Dean Markey regular gauge strings for all styles of play. I like Fender amps; I use Fender Bassman and Fender Twin.

A:
I just got into it accidentally. I liked the sound of the riffs that I got using the technique.

Q: Studio versus playing live - any comments here?
A:
I like both equally.
